The Woman Behind the GWC Brand

Taylor Tatum is a backcountry trail rider, horse trainer, content creator, and certified High Desert dweller.

Her passion for horsemanship began with Roog, a sensitive rescue horse who taught her the value of clear communication, patience, and safe riding in remote terrain. That journey inspired the creation of Groundwork Collective, a space for thoughtful horse training, trail education, and connection between horses and humans.

As Groundwork Collective has grown, Taylor has also begun offering photography and storytelling services through High Desert Creative, the media arm of her work that supports other rural and Central Oregon brands/businesses in telling stories in a way that feels grounded and real.

Based just outside of Bend, Oregon, she continues to train confident trail horses and help others find their way in and out of the saddle.

What I offer

Equine Services

Embark on a journey of grace, strength, and connection through horsemanship. Whether you're new to riding or returning with experience, my lesson program is designed to help you build confidence, communication, and practical skills—both in and out of the saddle.

I offer:

  • Lessons on my experienced program horses

  • Instruction for riders who want to learn alongside their own horses

  • Trail-focused education and groundwork for real-world riding

I also offer a small number of boarding spots, available exclusively to students actively enrolled in the lesson program or for horses in consignment training. This allows for consistent support, purposeful progress, and a close-knit, intentional barn community.

Professional Content Creation

From dusty arenas to wide-open sagebrush, I specialize in capturing real, grounded moments that reflect the heart of Western and rural life.

I offer photography and content creation for:

  • Rural small businesses and equine professionals

  • Events, portraits, and lifestyle sessions

  • Brand storytelling and social media visuals

With a combined audience of over 60,000 across Instagram and TikTok, I also partner with brands and creators through authentic content, sponsored campaigns, and creative collaborations.
